Political Economy studies how governmental structures such as laws, customs and the economic system i.e. production and trade, impact each other.

Research questions

• When do high incomes increase social welfare and when are they harmful to a society?
• How do superstar firms change the ratio of labor vs. capital income?
• What is the impact of automation and digitization on tax revenues and how should tax design adapt to these changes?
